Michael Contino '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a very passionate 17 year-old golfer with a current scoring average of 78 (8 strokes better than last year) in competitive and personal matches.  As a sophomore in High School I missed going to the State Tournament by three strokes and have enjoyed top 10 finishes in summer 2013 Junior PGA events. There is no better feeling than to step out onto the first tee and knowing that I can play a game I love. My short term goal is to make the State tournament and become a consistent shooter on the Junior PGA tour in each of the next two years.

When I am not playing golf, I work as a caddy and bagger at Devil’s Head Golf resort, where I have been employed for the last 3 summers and will be the lead caddy/bagger in 2014, and concentrating on my school studies. I have dedicated my Junior and Senior years to acing all of my classes including Advanced Placement classes in Government, U.S. History, Comparative Government and Psychology. I have made the honor roll every year in High school and plan to graduate in 2015 with Honors.

My goal is attend a college or university where I can combine my love and my passion for the game of golf with a successful education, which will allow me to be a productive member of society for years to come.
