Hi, I'm Cooper Bjerke and I've been golfing since I was two years old. I have had the dreams of playing golf at a collegiate level for as long as I can remember. A love of golf came naturally from growing up around golf courses my entire life due to my dad being a PGA golf professional. I am fortunate to have the support systems in place from my parents. My dad has a plethora of knowledge of the game and mechanics, and has been helping me improve my game my entire life. My mom as a business owner has instilled in me the importance of hard work and dedication, and has been integral in helping me build my tournament play.
What I enjoy about the sport of golf is the challenge of the game from one day to the next that creates the inner drive to continually work to improve my game. I like that the sport of golf allows me to contribute individually to a winning team goal. Golf is a sport of honesty, integrity, patience, and confidence. These are all traits that I can take from the golf course and apply to my personal life. In addition to golf, I enjoy freestyle skiing , water skiing, fishing, and being outdoors. Golf and my activities of interest have helped me to build patience and has helped me to become the confident athlete that I am today. I know I will be a successful team player in the game of golf.
