Personal Statement
I have been playing competitive golf since I was 12 years old and look forward to continuing my career through college and beyond. As a student, I understand that collegiate golf will be very demanding on me. I am committed to being the best on and off the course as an individual, student-athlete, and teammate. On the golf course I am composed and confident. I work my hardest every day to improve my game. I believe that the only way to be your best is by putting in the work.
As an individual I am open-minded, compassionate, and dependable. I’m always supportive and encouraging towards my teammates. I believe that if everyone on a team supports and believes in each other, the team will have a better chance of success. My high school golf team has won the Wyoming High School 4A State Championship two years in a row. The highlight of my high school career thus far was leading my team and tying for third at the 2017 Wyoming High School 4A State Championship. I was the only person on my team to shoot in the 70s in the second round while it was snowing. I realized, that day, that the only way to play well is to believe in yourself more than anyone can ever believe in you, stay focused on the present moment and commit to playing all 18 holes with persistence and dedication to my game. I believe that this experience is what has made me the player and person I am today.
