Dylan Nelson '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dyan Nelson. I am very interested in the opportunity to contribute to a program at the next level. I have been dedicated to improving my game for several years and I believe that my work ethic, discipline, and love for the sport would make me a valuable addition to any team. I have been working with a swing coach for the past two years, which has vastly improved my game. I don't feel like I have reached my full potential yet, and I am confident that under the guidance of the right coach I can develop further as a golfer and contribute to any team's success. I am a senior at Wheatland High School in Wyoming, graduating class of 2025, where I have consistently been a top performer on our golf team. Over the past two years I have received All Conference at the 3A level. My current handicap is a 5.9 and I am continuously working to improve all aspects of my game from my swing to my mental approach on the course. In High School I have also volunteered my time to help caddie for youth golf tournaments, and I have also helped with several other community golf tournaments. I spend the majority of my free time at the golf course. I have put countless hours into the game of golf trying to make myself and everyone around me better.  Beyond my dedication to golf I am also committed to academic excellence. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and scored a 26 on the ACT. I am a member of the National Honor Society and FBLA. I believe that my strong academic record reflects my ability to manage time effectively and focus on my goals.
