My collegiate goals and aspirations are that I want it to lead to some form of pro hockey and to get a good education preferably in the field of Recreation or Kinesiology. What makes me a good candidate is that I’m hard working. I’ve jumped from tier 7 as a player to tier 1 as a goalie. I played goalie for 4 years starting in grade 8 and have had next to nothing for goalie coaching - I taught myself. I’m wanted as a backup or starter on Junior B for my 5th season as a goalie in the 2019/2020 season. I’ve always been considered a starter on every team I’ve played on. I have been scouted by WHL scouts and have been to the WHL combine. I went 38 for 48 in a shootout against NHLers such as Johnny Boychuk which I went 3/3 on in the shootout and stopped 2 full slap shots 102mph with ease, a New Jersey Devils player, another New York islanders player, an Edmonton Oiler and a couple junior A players. I don’t care who is on the ice with me, (also I have plenty of video if you would love to see it but I have too much to post)-if they’re NHL or not, my compete level and drive to stop the puck only gets more intense. All I’m focused on is the puck. I don’t care who the player is - that’s not my focus. My difference is that I’ve out played and beaten goalies that have had 12+ years of experience while I’ve had only 4 seasons as a goalie, and I think with goalie training from your program that my goaltending skills sky rocket. My mental game and preparation for games and every day activities is a constant in my life and is long and detailed. I’m the type of guy that puts my nose to the grind stone and work every day because I want this so bad. I have tunnel vision when it comes to excelling in hockey - I’ve worked hard and come far in 4 seasons and I’m constantly working. My academics are good I just need to apply myself a bit more and work harder but I know I can do it with the right push. I promise if I get a shot at a team I’m not the guy to disappoint on first impressions. I’m a very driven, self motivated athlete with great work ethic with a no quit attitude on and off the ice -contact Clint Wandler for more details. If anyone is interested in me give me a call I’d be happy to hear from anyone! If I’m short of a goal tell me what I need to do to get better or to get a tryout or a talk with a coach and I will exceed your expectations. Please don’t be fooled by my stats I had 40 plus shots a game with only having 9 to 10 players show up... It ‘twas not a good season for any of us... Contact Jeremy my head coach for more info on my 2018/2019 season. Thank you for taking the time to read my SA. But please don’t judge me to quick as a goalie or student, I have knocked the socks off coaches as an athlete I was given 3 practices to be given an affiliated spot on the Junior B team this year (2018/2019 season) and I only needed one! I made my Junior B coaches head spin the first practice, I had my those players stuck for the last half hour of practice trying to score on me in the shootout and I outplayed the starter and backup goalie in the shootout and all through the practice. He said my drive and work ethic in practice and my character was unbelievable I was first one to the rink by about an 1hr30mins and last one off the ice every practice I can promise you I am no waste of time! Now as a student I need a bit of work... I am a smart kid I just need to study harder and get a bit more lucky... but please keep me in mind because I’m not out till I’m out! I’ll be looking forward to talking to one of your scouts or coaches. Have a great day! Also my GPA is unofficial yet. I should have my actual GPA by the end of grade 11 this year but 2.32 is my GPA right now.
