Personal Statement
I strongly believe that with the right attitude, you can reach the desirable altitude. Being coachable, always giving 100% effort, being a team player and putting the team first, are some of the attributes that my coaches always mention in my evaluations. I have always raised the compete level of my goalie partner and the confidence level of my team while being a supportive team member. I am mentally strong and able to stay focused the entire game regardless of what the scoreboard says. My teammates know that I don't give up or give in. The coaches always notice growth and development in my game and in me as a person as the season progresses. Doing well academically is very important to me. I billeted this year. My billet family is surprised with my time management skills and my ability to balance the athletics, the academics and the fun part. They often comment how mature I am for my age and think that I must be a good leader in the dressing room.
I would love an opportunity to play College hockey and to continue my education. I know I can do well academically while playing hockey at the highest level. Brandon Morrison describes the feeling of playing in front of the vibrant University of Michigan crowd. I get very excited every time I get to watch any Frozen Four games and any college hockey games on TV. I visualize myself playing for a college team one day.
