Matthew Matsuda '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matthew Matsuda, and I am a 2005 born center from San Diego, California.  My goal is to play at a high level of juniors and then continue my hockey career at a well-respected university with a strong business program.  I am a strong skater with great hands and a high hockey IQ.  I am very hard-working, and I strive to get better everyday.  What sets me apart from other recruits is that I play a very strong 200 foot game, and I can be used on the penalty kill or the power play.  Though, I am a smaller player, I am able to overcome that obstacle through my speed and elusiveness.  I am currently looking into junior hockey opportunities for the upcoming season.

I am a very diligent student and never miss deadlines.  My school work has always been extremely important to me, and hockey has never gotten in the way of that.
