Tyler Asbury '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to play Collegiate Men's Ice Hockey while pursuing my academic studies in Environmental Studies/Science and Urban Planning with an emphasis on sustainability and renewable energy.

My passion is Ice Hockey. The camaraderie, the relentless team-oriented battle for the puck and the goal, ice hockey is like no other sport.  It spills off the ice, we are a band of brothers, we give back to our communities. I put in hours of training, both on and off the ice. I believe this has given me the discipline to balance the demands of my academics, training and when possible I manage free time activities.

In a world where all dreams come true, I would love to play beyond Collegiate Hockey, knowing at the same time that when I can no longer shoot a top shelf snapshot from the blue line and be an asset to my team mates, I will never lose my passion to play.  I have the opportunity to continue on in ice hockey as a mentor and  participate in Hockey-related events. I will be well prepared to start another chapter of my journey in Life. How fortunate I am to be able to pursue both my dreams and goals.
