I have played hockey since I was six years old. I started off playing roller hockey at my local roller rink, and two years later, began playing ice hockey. I began playing travel since first year pee wee, and I have dremt of playing hockey at the collegiate level. I want to experience the time of my life and make amazing memories, while playing college hockey, at the highest level possible.
I juggle my time between hockey, school, and work. I currently attend a college preparatory school. I work extremely hard in school, because I take my grades extremely seriously. I am also an assistant editor on my school paper, The Pharcyde, a nationally ranked, award winning piece of work. My schedule consists of the courses that challenges me the most. I plan to continue taking challenging courses in my future years of high school. I often volunteer at the local food pantry, and have plans on going on a mission trip in the summer of 2015.
I have a very good understanding for the game, and it's systems. I pick up on coaching tips well, and am very easy to coach. I am an extremely competitive player, and do what it takes to win. I always have the backs of my teammates, and am able to create good chemistry with other players. Whenever there is an opportunity to better my playing abilities, I take it. Whether it be through lessons, showcases, camps, weekly clinics, hard work, and off ice dedication. I work hard in the gym on a daily basis, and play school football, which helps me to stay extremely active. I am a playmaker, and can execute well. Off of the ice, I work hard to develop fundamentals such as strength, knowledge of the game, and especially my stick handling. I find myself to be a leader both on and off of the ice. I work hard to finish drills, do them correctly, and to the best of my ability, with the goal to get my teammates to do the same.
The best college for me is somewhere where I can push myself in the classrooms, and have the time of my life, playing college hockey, while playing at the highest competition I can possibly play at. I want to work extremely hard for my team, school, and myself. I am open to every, and all options that come my way. I hope to play college hockey, and prove everyone wrong who said that I couldn't.
