I laced my first pair of skates when I was only four years old. Since then, I haven't been able to take them off. I was first introduced to the goaltending position when I was 7 or 8. My coach let everyone try being a goalie for a practice and I couldn't resist. My dad will never forget the moment I first stepped in the blue paint. My coach looked into the stands and shouted, "He's the one". I was first introduced to the game of hockey by watching it on TV when I was little. My parents and family were all Blackhawks fans since we're from Chicago. My current goal as a hockey player is to go and play college hockey. I know this goal can't be accomplished without my goal in the classroom. I currently have a 3.66 GPA with a 27 ACT. My goal is to get my GPA up to a 3.7 by the end of my senior year. I am well aware that not everyone can go pro for hockey so my goal this summer is to look into what I want to study in college. It's always important to have a plan after hockey.
