Personal Statement
I have been playing hockey ever since I was four years old. Every time I step on the ice, I know that I am one step closer to reaching my goals. All my life I have wanted to play at the highest level possible, and I know that I am going to need to work hard in order to achieve my goals.
Each day I try to be the best teammate I can be, I work to be a team leader both on and off the ice, leading by example, and keeping my teammates focused.
I realize that in order to achieve my goals I will have to have the same effort and attention In the classroom, I study very hard to keep a high GPA at all times understanding that being able to achieve my goals has as much to do with what I do in the classroom as how I perform on the ice.
While playing hockey in college would be the goal, my education must come first and that means finding the right fit both on the ice and in class. I want to find the college that best fits me and playing at the highest level of hockey I can. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents proud.
