Andrew McVeen '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a class of 2024 student at Huntley High School. Currently, I am playing for Kings High School Hockey as a forward. When needed, I can play defense and center. I can easily move around and adjust to what my coach needs on the ice. I have been playing hockey since I was six years old and from then on, I have had multiple experiences playing different positions and overcoming difficult challenges. My most recent example was being placed on JV2 in my first year of high school hockey. Throughout the season I worked with our higher-level teams and gained the opportunity to play for them, leading me to be on varsity that upcoming spring season. Besides hockey, I run cross country and track to better my speed and endurance, with my best 5k being 18:20. Academically, I have taken AP courses and honors classes throughout my time in high school. My goal is to continue my hockey career at a competitive level where I can also grow academically post-high school.
