Jack Jarvinen ("Jarvs") '28 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Jack Jarvinen. I have loved hockey since I started watching my cousin (family friends but we call them "cousins") at the age of 5. I was blessed with speed and am usually the fastest on the ice but have worked really hard to develop the rest of my skills. I'm most proud of my tenacity and ability to get behind the D on a breakout, or hunting down the other team and being disruptive while transitioning to D. I'm a bit of a pickpocket! I think my top 3 skills are speed and stickhandling, shooting accuracy, and team play. I love setting my teammates up for goals! I want to play in the NHL and am willing to keep learning, eating, working out, practicing, and putting in the early days and late nights to get better every day. I recently joined Team Illinois and can't wait to get started with coach Rick and coach Sam.After hockey, I want to be a trader or maybe an industrial engineer, so my grades are really important. I have a 4.685 GPA right now and will keep improving my study habits and making sure I can get into a really good school to study computer science and some entrepreneurship too.
