My parents enrolled me in a Learn to Skate class and always took me to see Rockford IceHogs games. I decided from an early age that hockey was an area I was very interested in and have been skating since I was 3 years old.

I have learned that  I really enjoy working with and helping guide the younger goalies when I go to goalie clinics.

While in high school, I want to advocate for myself with my teachers if I don’t understand something and keep my grades at a high level. When I get to college, I am looking at majoring in an area where I can work for Lego or help people.

Yes, I have been on many teams where the team thinks that it is them who won it, and not the whole team. It’s difficult as the goalie sometimes not to blame yourself when the team doesn’t win, but it is definitely not helpful when the team puts the blame on you as well. It should be, “It’s always we, never I”. 

I have good sportsmanship. I like to work with and talk to other goalies. I support the other members of my team and bump gloves with goalies on the other team when we’re switching sides during a game.  I am a very good stickhandler.

I am a firm believer in the “We not me” mentality when it  comes to winning. One player may stand out more than the rest but you need a full team with the same mindset and goals to help win games.

I am constantly looking to learn and consider myself a sponge. I will talk to other goalies to pick their brains - even goalies on other teams. I really believe that having good sportsmanship goes a long way, even if it’s against a team I’m currently playing - You will always see me giving the opposing goalie a tap on the pads between periods.
