My name is Sam Phillips, I’m from Fort Wayne, Indiana and I play defense. I am known to be a two way player. I am of the 2006 birth year, I weigh 215 lbs and I’m 5 foot 11 inches(off skates). I have played tier 2 pretty much since I’ve started hockey and started as a Forward and worked my way to defense. At forward I thrive in aspects of net front presence and screening and would consider myself a playmaker or a gritty player at the position of right wing. I am able to play either side defense and have a good vision of the ice and making plays. My biggest attribute is my high hockey IQ and the ability to make plays at crucial minutes of a game. I have played on my high school’s varsity teams for the past season and will play this upcoming season. In college I would like to play at the highest level I possibly can. I usually maintain about a 3.5-4.0 GPA throughout the season and I am in multiple AP and Honors Classes. I would like to go into Aviation or Mechanical Engineering. I like to work hard with my teammates to develop a bond on and off the ice while winning games, championships, etc. as well as developing my individual skills.
