Cameron Dames '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cameron Dames born July 8, 2007, I stand at 5'7 and 165 pounds. I have aspirations to play junior and college hockey at the highest level. I grew up playing in South Bend, Indiana under the South Bend Irish Rovers in the IYHL. I started playing AAA hockey in the summer of my peewee year. I started playing hockey at the age of 3 and played with kids two years older than me until my first Bantam year. The summer of my peewee season I was asked to play AAA for North American Alliance. I played each summer with them, until unfortunite events happened to the head coach. I then my last bantam year played for High Skills Hockey ( HSH ) AAA. I decided to not play High School hockey and currently play for the Midwest Blackbrids, a 16u team playing in a 18u Division. After my first year of 16u, I was invited to the Wisconsion Windigo ( NAHL ) Main Camp. Just this year I was offered a midseason roster spot by the Danbury HatTricks. To make up for my size,  I have a high hockey IQ and a high level skill set. I am able to determine the right play at the right time to make those around me better and to maximize the scoring chance. I play the game at a fast pace and have patience when I get the puck. This year 2023-24 I returned to Midwest Blackbrids where I have fit right in going on penalty kill and first power play where I have been thriving with over a point per game in the NIHL and NAPHL. I am looking to play full time AAA in Chicago next year, and then juniors at the highest level once I graduate.
