My collegiate goals and aspirations are to play competitive hockey and graduate with academic honors. Hockey is my passion and helps me develop the character, drive, work ethic and intangibles to be successful in academics, sports, and life. I would like to pursue a college degree that allows me to help others and challenges me to make a difference. I will continue to push myself every day so I can achieve my goals and aspirations.
I will be a good candidate for your team because I am a leader and a good teammate. I can be a verbal leader when required, however, I think it is very important to lead by example, both on and off the ice. In addition to my leadership skills, I have incredible heart, dedication, passion, toughness and work ethic where I put 110% into everything that I do. I will put my body on the line for my team by blocking shots and taking a hit to make a play. Lastly, I pride myself on being a team player and will do anything in my power to help the team.
There are many things that make me different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics. I am selfless, and my actions both on and off the ice are always what is best for the team. When I fail, I use that as motivation to achieve future success. My daily commute for hockey is very demanding while traveling out of state for practices and games. However, my time management skills have helped me maintain good grades and a high honor roll status on a consistent basis.
