Brady Stefanick '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brady Stefanick. I just finished my grade 12 year of school at Evan Hardy Collegiate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This past season, I started my year with the Saskatoon Midget AA Icehawks where I was an assistant captain before I signed with the Saskatoon Midget AAA Contacts in the beginning of December. I am a hard working two way defenceman who isn’t afraid to get physical to separate the puck from body or jump up in the offensive zone rush. My willingness to change and game plan flexibility as well as a high hockey IQ adds to my resume. I am a defence first mentality player therefore, the defensive zone and penalty kill is where I perform best, but I can also jump into the powerplay unit and contribute offense if needed. This coming season, I have signed and intend to play with the Saskatoon Junior B Royals.

My education is also very important to me. I work just hard in the classroom and books, as I would on the ice. I am a 3x honor roll student in grades 10, 11 and 12, while finishing with a total of 28/24 required credits to graduate. I had plans to write my SAT in April of 2020 but was later cancelled because of COVID, but I still have plans to write when the board says it is safe to do so. I am still undecided on what I want to study at the post secondary level and am taking a year off of school because of it.

I feel I am a great asset on and off the ice, not only because of my performance on the ice and in the classroom, but because of my phenomenal work ethic and willingness to help others. Throughout the past 5 years, I have done volunteer work for food banks, community centres and general public spaces.
