As I enter my final season of junior hockey with the MJHL Dauphin Kings, my goals are set to help the team with the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup and then the national championship Centennial Cup. An overarching goal in the background of this is to earn a Division 1 scholarship that will allow me to attend university or college while continuing my hockey career. I am confident that my hard work and determination will see these goals fulfilled.
In my first season with Dauphin (2022-23), I came in and earned the number one spot playing 32 games with a 0.921 save percentage during regular season. Last season, I played 44 games and finished again with a 0.921 save percentage during regular season. During the playoffs, I was the top goaltender with a save percentage of 0.941 and 1.91 GAA.
My work ethic, combined with my determination and competitive nature, extends to academics where I am equally competitive in obtaining excellent grades. This makes me an excellent candidate for a Division 1 hockey program in the NCAA, where I intend to pursue studies in sports medicine.
My current and former coaches would describe me as a role model and leader with positive energy both on and off the ice. My ongoing development includes an invitation to the London Knights OHL Training Camp (2021), attendance at Eli Wilson Goaltending Camps (2017, 2018, 2021 prospects camp), Elite Hockey Camps at Notre Dame University (2017, 2018, 2019), and Hockey Canada Goaltender Development Program (2018, 2019). In 2019, I was invited to the Axis Identification Camp hosted by Mike Valley and Rick Wamsley, where I was ranked first in my age group. I continue to train the mental side of my game working with Pete Fry several times each week.
