Since the age of five, I have been playing sports at the highest athletic level for my age category in Manitoba. I have exceled in all sports in which I participated, including hockey, lacrosse (box & field), volleyball and baseball. In 2016, I played for one of two city volleyball teams in the Manitoba Summer Games.
Hockey is my true passion. Over the years I have played on many teams –in leagues, tournaments and on club teams. There have been several articles written about my game-play and I have earned many accomplishments over the years. I have a lot of support from my family and they have given me the opportunity to play hockey, as well as all the other sports I enjoy. Over the years I have attended many skill and development camps which has allowed me to grow as an athlete.
As a hockey player, I see myself as a playmaker. This year was my first year of Midget, which includes players from 15 to 18 years of age. On January 10, 2019, I was traded to the OCN Blizzards in the MJHL - Manitoba Junior Hockey league. To date, I have been called up 8 times to play. On Thursday, April 19, 2018, I was awarded Rookie of the Year for which I am very thankful and proud. I love the game and my goal would be to someday get a scholarship to a university or college. My grades in school are very good and I consistently maintain a 3.0 grade point average. Ever since I was a child, my family has always instilled in me the importance of working hard at everything I do and I plan to bring this work ethic to my next step in life.
I hope to have the opportunity to impress you with my hockey skills. I look forward to hearing from you.
