Nicholas Spognardi '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Nicholas Spognardi I am 17 years old and I am a junior student at Michael Power Saint Joseph’s High School enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Programme and I have achieved honers each year in my program. I am currently the starting goalie for our Varsity High School team. Outside of my High School team, I play competitively in the GTHL league on the Greater Toronto Capitals team. I am a committed, hardworking, and adaptable student-athlete who is passionate about hockey. My coaches, teachers, personal trainers, former NHL players and scouts have all described me as a great student athlete who is very coachable, disciplined, and motivated. I've had the opportunity of training, and learning from some of Canada's Greatest hockey players and coaches who became my role models. I enjoy learning new skills and am an addict for perfection when it comes to mastering new skills in my game. I enjoy practicing as much as I enjoy competing leading to many crucial saves and big victories. Some of my favourite awards and championships consist of 3 time Mississauga early bird tournament MVP(2017-2019), Motown classic champions (2017), Canlan classic champions saving 4 penalty shots throughout the game(2020), I am the goalie who won’t fold under pressure I will step up and make the curial save in a championship finals or any important game situation.
