Ty McHutchion '23 Recruiting Profile

I grew up in a small town and have a hard working ethic thanks to my parents.  My family has always cared deeply about my education and marks and I have learnt how to succeed at school while continuing to play elite level hockey.   As an only child, my parents have supported my independent nature and as a result, I have been told my maturity level is well beyond my years.  I have a very competitive nature and always want to be the best player on the ice however, I understand that my personal desires cannot exceed the team goal/objective. Also, I have been named captain of my club team on 3 different occasions. So far, in my hockey career, I have had 3 different opportunities to be selected in AAA capacity to All-Star teams and I have been successful in all 3 appearances.  In the last All-Star game, this season, I had 2 assists in an 8-7 loss and my winger whom I assisted both goals received the MVP award.
