Yi Ding '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Yi(Victor) Ding, I am entering my junior year this fall, and I attend St.Michael College School in Toronto, Ontario. During my Freshman and Sophomore years, I achieved the honour roll reward 2 years in a roll (80% or higher). 

I am 5'11, 175 pounds, shoot right-handed and can play both the left and right wing positions. During the 2021-2022 Hockey season, I played for the Mississauga Reps U16 AAA in the GTHL. I was drafted in the OHL by Barrie Colts in the 15th round. In the upcoming season, I will play for the GTHL Midget Don Mills Flyers U18 AAA team and the Varsity team for my school, the St.Michael Majors. On every team I’ve played on,  I’ve proven myself to be a  hard worker by never giving up on a play. I am fast with and without the puck, with great edgework. Additionally, My puck handling and protection are excellent as well. I have a quick release and a hard shot. I forecheck and backcheck hard and accurately in all situations. My play-making skill is excellent on the ice as I can find my teammates quickly and accurately on the ice. I bring great energy and positivity to the team.
