Drew Russell '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Drew Russell, and I will be graduating high school in 2025. I am dedicated to the sport of hockey and my objectives right now are to be able to continue and pursue my hockey career as well as achieve all my academic goals while playing at the highest level. I would like to eventually obtain a degree in Law. 

Academically, I am a very gifted student and heavily influenced by education, achieving gold honor roll at a highly regarded private school located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I put a lot of effort and focus into my studies, with aspirations to become a criminal or corporate lawyer which I hope to achieve while playing hockey. 

Athletically, I am a big right winger with a very strong hockey IQ and knowledge of the game. I am a player that can find my linemates anywhere on the ice and a player they can always rely on. I am a player who battles for the benefit of our team and take pride in always advancing and evolving my game being a very coachable player. I have been given two captaincy roles and am a player my teammates can always look up and rely on. The Selkirk Steelers currently hold my rights in the MJHL being drafted by them in June of 2023.
