Hello Coaches, I am a Junior at Landmark High School in Beverly, MA, a school that does an excellent job helping students with dyslexia. I am excelling academically and my primary academic interest is math. I live a regimented life during the school year. I wake up at 6:00 AM, take a 6:35 AM train to school, and then attend school from 7:50 AM to 3:15 PM. During the hockey season, I take a train home right after school, do homework, and then have practice on most nights. During the spring track season, I take a later train home because practice is at a nearby college.
I have a strong work ethic as evidenced by my daily school routine and I have worked as a landscaper for the past three summers to earn money for computer and hockey equipment.
My goal is to continue playing hockey in college and to continue my academic interests in math, data analytics, and sports management. I started playing hockey at age 9, later than most kids who play. Since U12, I have focused on the goalie position. Since Landmark School does not have a hockey program, I receive a waiver to play for East Boston High School where I am the starting goalie. In the fall, I play on the Charlestown Youth Hockey Association U18 AA team. In addition to my team practices, I attend goalie clinics at Stop It Goaltending and with Mike Geragosian. I also fill in for practices with other teams and just started using Sense Arena VR training. I am told that I have a high hockey IQ and I am coachable, competitive, and a good team player.
