Brandon Silva '24 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to attend college and seek a degree in Business Administration and/or Sports Management.  While pursuing those goals I would like to play hockey at the highest possible level.  I have been playing hockey since I was four years old and fell in love with the sport when I stepped on the ice for the first time. 

My coaches would tell you that I am a coachable player that loves to compete, am receptive to feedback and a great teammate.  A key skill that has improved my play is beating plays on my feet.  This has allowed me to stay square to the shooter without over committing by sliding and taking myself out of the play, a common mistake made by younger goalies.

Playing hockey has taught me to respect my coaches and teammates, the importance of discipline, teamwork, and the dedication that it takes to excel on the ice and in the classroom.  Just as important to me, some of my closest friendships have been made through playing hockey.
