Ryan VanderWoude '14 Recruiting Profile

I played for Grand Rapids Christian High varsity my junior year and finished All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention. Earlier this spring, I played in the Junior Hockey Prospects showcase for the Grand Rapids Selects and played very strong. I recorded a shut out in the showcase and the most goals I allowed in a game was 2. I played in the MDHL (Michigan Developmental Hockey League) for the fall of 2013.

I am playing for Grand Rapids Christian High varsity hockey now. We started out our season 3-0 playing against Mona Shores, East Kentwood, and Catholic Central. My current save percentage is 91.7% and my goals against average is 1.90. The team's current record is 7-2-1 and I have recorded 2 shut outs. My goal ever since I was a little kid was to play Division 1 college hockey.  I am still continuing to strive towards that goal.
