Hello, I'm Kyle Stewart. I am 6'3" tall and about 190 pounds. I was born in New Mexico and lived there until I was eight-years-old, then moved to Muskegon, Michigan. I started hockey as a skater in a recreational league when I was nine-years-old and eventually convinced my parents to let me become a goalie after two years of trying to convince them. I have been a Goalie for about 5 years now and have played at many different levels since I started. I started at bantam when I was 11 years old, then Pee-Wee at 12 years old, then u18 Jv at 13 years old, then back to bantam at 14 years old, then to Midget A at 15 years old this past season and next season at 16 years old. With these different levels of experience, I have been forced to adjust and have played better when the competition is higher than what I normally should face. When I play up, it forces me to bring out the best of my play. I am also a very coachable kid that will listen to all different types of goalies. These experiences make me a great candidate for any college team because I will work my hardest to make sure the work gets done on and off the ice. I will be a senior this coming fall at Mona Shores HighSchool in Muskegon, Michigan. I am young for my class because I skipped 1st grade and was born in 2005 with everyone else being a 2004 or older. I have not had an easy journey with having both parents serve 20 years in the US AirForce and also being the youngest in the family. What I do day to day is taking care of my parents because they have been my biggest supporters in hockey since day one and I would do anything just to give back for all the things they have given me to succeed in not only hockey but also in life. Hockey is not my number one plan in college but would be a dream come true. My most important plan in college is to get a degree using math. Math has always been a strength of mine and this strength has led me to an interest in a degree in Mechanical Engineering so if hockey doesn't work out in the long run, I have a backup plan. Going to college would mean the world to my parents but most importantly help me succeed in life.
