My name is Ryder Carlson and I will be a senior at Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria, MN this year. I have been a member of my high school golf team since 8th grade. Holy Family Catholic competes against many of the best teams in Minnesota. In 2024, we won the Class 2AA State Tournament and were runners up in 2023 and 2022. I had a solid spring season in 2025, and made the 2025 All-State team.
I have had a great summer playing a number of different events around Minnesota. Here are a couple recent tournament results. I am looking forward to more regional and national events as we get into the Fall and Winter.
Twin Cities Junior Championship, 7/31/25

I play on a number of different junior tours throughout the year, and I enjoy events big and small, close to home and around the world. I have competed at Augusta National Golf Club (2019 Drive, Chip & Putt National Championship), Grayhawk Golf Club (2021 PGA Junior League National Championship), Pinehurst (2024 US Kids Teen World Championships) and St. Andrews / Carnoustie (2024 Scotland Junior Golf Invitational). I love this game and learning about the places that I am fortunate enough to play.
I am continuing to work hard on improving all areas of my game. I grew almost eight inches since last summer and I have been adjusting my swing (and my clubs) to accommodate my new height. Distance control is a big area of focus for me right now, as well as learning to shape my shots more consistently. My strengths are accuracy off the tee and my short game, specifically getting up and down when I need to keep the momentum going. I have been training for the last year at the RYP Academy with Coach Luke Benoit, PGA / PhD and I am very excited to continue getting stronger and increasing my ball speed. I also meet regularly with Dr. Tim Jandro at Peak Performance to dial in my mental game.
My goal is to play college golf at the highest level possible, while being a big part of growing a great team culture, getting involved on campus and earning a four year degree.
