I'm very coachable.
Because I started in the 3rd grade (which is pretty late for a kid from Minnesota), I have to play smarter and tougher. I was a wrestler for a year before I played hockey. I had never been on skates before 3rd grade.
I would like to coach youth hockey someday. It's important to help kids and teach them good skills at a young age.
I try to help everyone cooperate to the best of my ability. I take the game very seriously, but I know how to have fun, too. The favorite thing about my last few teams has been that we can all score, there's not a puck hog. Trusting your teammates is very important.
I've been a leader on my team in points for the last 4 years. (Pee Wees and Bantams) I've had 4 official Hat Tricks. My coach says my game is "garbage goals". I like to think I'm in the right place at the right time. I'm big and I play very physical. I love opportunities for big, open ice hits and I love screening the goaltender. Catching that pass from a teammate, or helping tip the puck in past the goalie is the best feeling. Hockey is a team sport - we win or lose together.
I'm looking forward to JV (Fall 2022).
I don't know what I want to go to college for. Maybe Police Officer or teacher and coach, I'm not sure yet.
But I get good grades and I know I want to go to a four-year and have the opportunity to play hockey. Maybe for a division school or club team. I love the UMD Bulldogs, because they're right here and fun to watch, but I would like to go to college somewhere warm.
Thank you.
