William Combs '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is William Combs, and I’m a junior at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School in Minnesota. Ever since I first strapped on my pads, hockey has been more than just a sport for me—it’s been a way of life. I thrive under pressure and live for those moments when the game is on the line and my team is counting on me to make the big save. I'm always looking to play against the best players and toughest teams to improve my level of play.

As a goalie, I bring quick reflexes, a deep understanding of the game, and an unwavering focus to every practice and game. But I’m not just committed to improving my skills on the ice—I’m equally dedicated in the classroom, while also balancing a rigorous training schedule, work, and volunteer as an assistant goalie coach for youth hockey.  My ultimate goal is to take my passion and talent for hockey to the next level, competing in juniors and eventually playing at the collegiate level.

What sets me apart is my relentless work ethic and leadership both on and off the ice. Whether it’s staying late after practice to work on rebound control or rallying my teammates during tough moments, I’m always looking for ways to grow as an athlete and a teammate. I understand that hockey is as much about heart and character as it is about skill, and I strive to embody those qualities every day.
