Hi! My name is Michael Sullivan and I am a Sophomore at Eden Prairie High School. I am a Junior Varsity defenseman for Eden Prairie High School.
I have always loved the sport of hockey, and I hope to continue to this passion in college. I have played Minnesota District 6 hockey my entire youth career along with Ice Edge AAA and MPH summer hockey. I've also had fun with a group of friends playing 3 on 3 hockey at Velocity Hockey in the summers. My love for hockey keeps me working on my skill and strength to support my play. I have engaged in private instructional lessons since the age of 7, both hockey and skating (figure skating coach) focused instruction. I am a tall defensemen that is focused on owning the center of the ice with a long reach for targeted poke checks and physical play.
I am a gifted and talented student that is enrolled in honors and AP high school courses. I was part of Eden Prairie's Mosaic program for gifted and talented students, grade 4-6. I completed my 2 years at Eden Prairie Central Middle School with 3.9 GPA while enrolled in honors curriculum.
Additionally, I am deeply involved in my church community (St. Andrew Lutheran), I am involved in youth activities, mission trips and a counselor in training for our church's summer camp. I have also a member of the church youth and high school choir. For the last 2 years I have participated with my peers in the Young Men's Service League (YMSL) here in the Twin Cities supporting the broader community with my time and service.
I also have a love and passion for music and play multiple instruments (all percussion & piano). I am also a vocalist. I have published my own, original music (and collaborations with local artists) on various streaming platforms.
I am seeking a strong academic opportunity while advancing my learning and passion for the game of hockey. I am also seeking a hockey program that supports the community around them with opportunities to serve and support it.
I look forward to engaging in a conversation about my academic and athletic opportunity with you. Thank you!
Best,
Michael
