I not only work hard on the ice, but also in the classroom. Academics are important to me as I've recently been recognized with High Honors for my freshman year at Academy of Angels Academic Reception. I push myself by taking pre-AP science classes and advanced upper level math classes. In addition, I am a recipient of an academic scholarship where I was selected to be part of the student leadership team. In addition, I train with a goalie coach when not practicing with my team to enhance my on-ice experience. This additional training has allowed me to grow as a goalie in knowledge and depth of the game, as well as fine tune specific skills such as my RVH. I enjoy communicating from the net to my teammates by telling them puck and player location. Having a big voice allows me to stay engaged and active in all the plays.
When I'm not helping on our family farm or on the ice, I enjoy playing baseball too where I played for my high school this spring. I also enjoy fishing, hunting, trap shooting, mountain biking, and weight lifting.
I aspire to play high level hockey. I take pride in what I give my teachers or my coach. I ask questions when I need further clarification and above all am a coachable, accountable and respectful person. I believe these characteristics are what sets me apart from other recruits.
