My name is Parker Aucoin, I am a forward in the 2026 class. I started playing hockey when I was about 8 years old. I started playing on a club team in my hometown which was very close to my house. It all started with my parents wanting me to learn how to ice skate and luckily for me it led to joining the hockey team at this rink. I could skate fast, but I couldn't stop to save my life the first couple years but luckily that got better! As the years went on and my skill level increased, I tried out and made the New England Districts Camp Team in 2020. I was fortunate to make this camp but due to covid, the camp did not happen that year. By making the New England Districts Camp Team, my name and team grabbed the attention of a coach, and I was ultimately recruited to tryout and made his hockey team which played at a higher level of hockey then where I was coming from in my hometown.
From this team, my skills grew dramatically, the coaches were fantastic, and I spent the next three years in this organization and on this team. This team was incredible, we won several tournaments over those three years and our final last year together my team won the Premier Hockey League Championship in 2022. The heart and dedication that these coaches put into this team is one that I draw a lot of my determination to getting better and doing better each year as my skills continue to progress. I feel like I owe this team and the coaches a lot of thanks because without them I don't think that I would have grown to leave my hometown hockey team to play at a more competitive level or continued to where I am today.
My goal has always been to play hockey in college and at whatever level I can achieve is where I would like to play. My parents have always said that if I am afforded an opportunity to be able to do better, take it and run with it to see where it gets me. Luckily, I have been afforded some great opportunities over the years which are continuing to help me get closer and closer to achieving my end all goal, playing hockey in college!
I am very diligent with my schoolwork as I always have to juggle schoolwork, regular work and other extracurricular activities that I am involved with to be able to do well in all of them together.
On the off season my focus is to stay in shape by participating in another sport, lacrosse, weight training, working out while also participating in some off-season hockey tournaments, camps and games.
