Personal Statement
Playing hockey since I was eight years old has given me many of my fondest memories, and taught me some incredibly valuable life lessons. The lessons I have learned on the ice are what shape me today. I consider myself passionate, dedicated, and an extremely enthusiastic leader both on and off the ice.
I have been playing hockey for nearly nine years now, but the year our team lost in the state final is the year that I feel I developed the most. The season we almost made it taught me meaningful values such as dedication, teamwork, optimism, and leadership. I am looking for a program that will fulfill my academic needs and allow me to compete at a high level on the ice. I know that I am capable of employing everything I’ve learned over the years to do whatever it takes to play on your team!
