Coach,

Hi My name is Nick Sands and I am a class of 2028 right winger.My collegiate goal is to compete at the highest level possible in ice hockey while earning a degree in criminal justice. I’m looking to be part of a program where I can continue growing as a player and leader, while also excelling in the classroom.

As a right wing forward, I bring speed,strong shot and good hands.I take pride in being a coachable, team-first player who contributes in all zones—whether it’s creating offensive opportunities, applying pressure on the forecheck, or making smart plays defensively.

What sets me apart from other recruits is my understanding of the game, both as a player and as a certified USA Hockey official. Officiating has given me a broader perspective, helping me anticipate plays and stay composed under pressure. I also maintain a strong academic record and continually work to elevate my game and support my teammates.
