I have been playing hockey since I was 6 years old, and through the time I’ve spent playing, I have never loved or been more passionate about anything else. Hockey has shaped me into the person I am today. I love the sport and look forward to it every time I get on the ice. I currently live in upstate New York and was born and raised in Georgia and moved when I was 8 years old. My dream is to be the best hockey player I can, and I intend to work as hard as I can to achieve that dream.
Every time I get on the ice, I push myself with the focus of improving. I set short term and long-term goals with the intention of achieving them. My collegiate goals are to work hard and to play at the highest-level of hockey. I love being challenged and getting pushed past my limits. This gives me the opportunity to push myself and fellow teammates with the intent of winning a national championship. I look forward to playing fast paced high-level hockey in college.
I have and maintain a 3.7 GPA; however, I want to push it higher than it already is. Hockey is my priority, but I still view academics as very important for success in my future. As of writing this, I don’t have an idea of what I want to major in college.
Other than hockey, I play on my school's lacrosse team. I am a utility player, and I'll make the most out of anywhere you put me. Every shift, I strive to do my best and play better the next one. I’m a very coachable, disciplined player and I learn from my mistakes. When on the ice, I look to anticipate and move to make plays and help the team. I succeed as a center as it fits my playing style. I’m not the most physical player but will get in the corners and work.
I want to wrap up this letter by saying I'm working hard for my future and if given the opportunity to play for your team I’m ready to work even harder to achieve my goals.
