Personal Statement

I want to be known as the goaltender who always gave his all for every game no matter what circumstance. By my standards, effort and work ethic is the greatest attribution for a player. The more you have, the better you can make yourself into a more complete player on and off the ice. I feel like I am the strongest candidate for a team because I feel I can be a leader and bring a spark to a team when its needed. Hockey is a very demanding sport, especially at the level I want to play and dream of playing at further, so I feel as one of my positives is being able to spark the team and give everyone fire when we need it when some nights require it more than others. I am also a good teammate. I am always positive and help my teammates in to make them better to the best of my ability just as I would like them to return the favor for me during play.  Another positive is that Im good at making friends who become my family because we really are during the season with so much of our time spent with each other. I try to be close with as many people as I can. By the end of every hockey season I want to turn the word "team" into brothers and I still talk to all my teammates from the past as a result of this. I also believe heavily in giving back to the community that has made me so fortunate, even now not being a pro but just a hockey player. I try to do as much community service as I can. I feel as if I'm different than other recruits because I bring a unique character to the table. I am always upbeat and bring some laughter into the room. This can be positive when someone feels down or there is adversity brought to me, my family friends, or teammates. I always give 100% personal effort and attention as we.  When I do things in my life, I always want to feel that when I look back on those times that there was nothing more that I could have done and gave it 100% every time. This goes for athletics as well as academics. Overall, these are just some of my aspirations and the type of person I am and aspire to be.  I have played hockey from 6 years old and it is my passion, desire and dream to play to the utmost of my ability in the very best college.
