Throughout my life, hockey has taught me about leadership, dedication, time management, and much more. I’ve learned to win, lose, and grow from each game I play. Most importantly, hockey has taught me the value of hard work. As a kid, bouncing from team to team, I needed to look past each loss and focus on what I could improve on as a player. This approach helped me to establish a growth mentality. I constantly wondered when my work would pay off and when I would make it to the next level. Finally, I have found a home on multiple successful teams.
I am a 5 '10 stay-at-home defenseman from Long Island, New York, and have been consistently playing hockey since I was 8 years old. I would be described as a coachable and dedicated player. I currently play hockey for Chaminade High School, and travel hockey for the Long Island Gulls, along with 2 teams during the spring season. This past year the Gulls placed first in the 15U EJEPL Diamond division and won the Grand Ole Hockey Classic tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. My high school team won the Catholic High School Hockey League in my freshman and sophomore years. Now, I am focused on playing varsity high school hockey, competing against top competition in the BEAST League, and finding a college where I can play hockey.
At the same time, academics have always been important to me. I am an honor roll student in a rigorous Catholic high school. I am interested in attending a college where I can play the highest level of hockey possible while also receiving a strong education.
