When I picked up a hockey stick at 3, I instantly fell in love with the game. I have been playing hockey for 10 years now. I always strive to be the best and to improve my game on and off the ice. I really learned who I am as a goalie when I am under pressure and have to keep my team in the game in order to win. Some of my strengths as a goaltender are that I am a full right goalie, I am willing to do anything to make the save, I am very calm in the net, have a strong glove hand, and am coachable.
But not everything was easy for me. I had corrective foot surgery(both feet) in June of 2020. I overcame that and did physical therapy to get to where I am now. I went from not being able to stand to getting invited to the New York State Development Camp Evaluation. I battled back from two major surgeries and succeeded in doing it. I feel better than ever after the surgery and feel like I can face life's challenges.
Every year I am maturing as a goalie and a person. Some of my characteristics as a person are being level-headed, determined, capable, and being a team player. I am also able to balance school and hockey, earning a 3.92 GPA. I have always had internal motivation, this is what leads me to be successful in anything that I set my mind to.
