Back in my second year of PeeWee, I was placed on the C team. That lit a fire underneath me. I felt like I deserved to be on the B team, with my friends, but that season as I was complaining to him in the car my dad told me something that would change my outlook on my career: "If you leave anything as a question, it won't go your way". After he told me that, I started working harder in practices. Once I got to high school, I started working harder off the ice too. I couldn't be more proud of myself having come from a PeeWee C team just a few years ago to a AAA u16 team. However, I know my journey isn't over. I am looking forward to continuing to put in the work and proving everyone wrong. Just like everybody else, I would love more than anything to play D1 hockey, but mostly whenever I do end up hanging up the pads, I want to be able to look back at my career and know I gave it everything I had.
I think I am a great personality to have in the locker room and on the bench. Of course, while I'm in net I work hard and never give up on a shot. But when I'm backing up, I'll make sure my partner has all the water they need, and if things aren't going so well, I make sure to keep their spirits up. In the locker room, I am a great presence to have. I'm happy to crack a joke at my own expense, and I love to chirp my teammates about things that have happened during practice just like they chirp me.
