My name is Peterson Kressly and I am a 16 year old junior in highschool. I started playing hockey when I was 4, and switched to playing goalie when I was 9. I had tried other sports like basketball, lacrosse, and soccer but none of those sports were able to match how I felt when I played hockey. However I do a couple other sports, Cross Country, Taekwondo, and Track & Field, running Varsity in both XC and Track & Field along with receiving my Black Belt in Taekwondo, but Hockey is my main focus and takes priority over them. I am also involved in Boy Scouts, having achieved the Life rank and working towards my next and final rank of Eagle. I dream of playing either Club or NCAA level hockey in college.
There are many characteristics that make me a great option for your team. I'm always willing to put in the effort and work hard to learn and improve myself, and I will take in and use any information or critique given. I'm responsible, and well disciplined from my many years in scouting and from Taekwondo, and apply these skills when it comes to improving myself. I am always willing to do what it takes to make the best person and player I can be.
In the Future I would like to go into the military, most likely through college. In school I am a part of a BOCES program doing Heavy Equipment Repair and Operation. I have been working hard to make sure I keep up academically even with all the other extra curricular activities I do. I have done well in some engineering classes I did, which were Introduction to Engineering and Design, And Civil Engineering and architecture. Both of these classes through a program called Project Lead the Way. I also am a part of our school's Robotics club helping design and build a robot for competitions. I make sure that I am doing good with my academics as well, not only the sports I do.
