Dear Coach

As an aspiring business person and/or educator, I am seeking a university with programs that will prepare me to understand and enter either of these fields. My experiences as a student and as a member of the community have been rewarding, helping me to grow into a respectful and responsible person. I am a person with integrity, I have a good work ethic and I seek out opportunities to learn, grow and to help others.

My progress in both academics and hockey is a direct reflection of my ability and willingness to learn and be coached. My grades have improved each marking period as I put more effort into understanding the more challenging subjects, while maintaining and improving in the ones that come more naturally.  Athletically, I have always been one of the youngest players on my respective team and have learned to play up. This has taught me to adhere to higher personal standards, develop a functional physical and mental work ethic, be humble and let actions speak loader than words.  My ability to improve and grow has been evidenced in my skipping of multiple age groups and hockey tiers over the past four years.

I am committed to achieving academic and athletic excellence for the rest of my high school years in preparation for college and for the growth opportunities when I am there.
