College hockey was never a realistic goal it seemed for me since I started hockey at a later age than most. Many players and even coaches have doubted me in the past, and knowing that is what has pushed me to work hard and push as hard as I can to be the best player I can be when I step on the ice for any team. Most recruits will talk about how they are on the ice, but never talk about their “coachability” and I think that’s one trait that separates me from others. I like to think I perform well in school, I stay involved and surround myself with successful people who support and push me to improve myself in not only my athletics, but my overall character and growth as a person.
