Owen McMillan '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Owen McMillan, I currently reside in Green Valley, Ontario, Canada. I am a 2007 born student athlete where I currently attend Glengarry District Highschool. I have been an honor roll student since grade 9 and just recently finished up my grade 11 year with a 90% average. I have aspirations of becoming a physical Education Teacher. 

I am striving to compete at the College / University level as a dual athlete as I have excelled at both soccer and hockey. I am looking into scholarship options and or academic scholarships that will allow me to attend the USA for school. 

I am currently playing soccer on 2 teams full time, and I am also a affiliate for 2 others. I am currently leading the U18D1 ESOL league in scoring, as well as my club team in the Glengarry soccer league U18 Division having scored 23 goals in 9 games. I also lead the GSL Men's DIV2 league in scoring with 11 goals in 4 games as an affiliate player. I have been a starter and league leader in all 3 years while playing Varsity soccer for Glengarry District Highschool. This past year I was invited to attend the Canadian pro soccer leagues Ottawa Athleticos development program screening. 

As for Hockey, I just finished my first year of Junior hockey having made the Alexandria Glens of the EOJHL as a 16 year old. I was also affiliated with the Brockville Braves of the CCHL tier 2 junior A league. In my first year of Junior hockey I was selected for the annual prospects game. I spent most of the off season in the gym where I was able to gain approximately 10 lbs of muscle, and have really focusing on my diet, supplement and sleep schedule.
