I have had the pleasure of being coached by 3 former US collegiate NCAA hockey players (Blaine McCauley - Lake Superior, Mike Knofoli & John Glee - Cornell). During the last few years, our coaches have taken us to tournaments at Michigan State, Notre Dame & Cornell and during these tournaments we were able to see how college hockey life looks up close. We spoke to the coaches, players, and had tours of the facilities. These experiences and testimonials are why I want to play college hockey. Not only do these programs/opportunities allow me to play a game I love, but I also gain valuable life experiences and a strong education program. I am hoping to play for a Division 1 school, and further my passion for sciences and mathematics. I hope to one day enter the medical profession, with either a speciality in optometry or family physician.
I am a hard working team player, I understand the game, my role, and that my development is never done. Hard work, and positive attitude are the basis for success. I am an active athlete and enjoy many competitive sports such as golf, badminton, soccer, flag football etc. I know that life has more to offer than sports, and by having a strong educational background will give me a better shot at being a successful contributor to society.
I want this opportunity badly, and I'm willing to put in the hard work, dedication, and support to my coaches, teammates, and myself to make it happen. I hope you consider me for your program, as I feel I would be a great asset to the team, school and community.
