Nicolas Mainella '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nick Mainella from Windsor, Ontario and I am a senior at St.Anne high school.  I play defense for Leamington Flyers (Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League).  Playing hockey has always been a passion of mine and I strive everyday to exceed in the classroom and while playing hockey.

One thing that has seperated me from the rest of the group is my hard work and dedication.  Once i start something, I am not done until I finish and I don't believe in quitting on goals and dreams.  My goal is to continue playing hockey after high school at a competitive level and I will continue to work hard in pursing that goal.

I just completed a very successful season (2014-1015) with my first Junior team (Essex 73's Jr. C, GLJHL).  We won the Great Lakes Junior C Championship and All Ontario Championship (Schmaltz Cup) and I was also awarded Rookie of the year on my team which I am thankful for.  It was an honor to be playing for a great group of guys and the Essex hockey organization.
