It is my passion for hockey that drives me to keep working hard to achieve playing the elite level of Division 1 hockey. My strong work ethic allowed me to balance a heavy academic schedule while attending high school, along side a busy hockey schedule. I was able to maintain a strong GPA, graduating with honours in June 2019 as well as being selected by the Saginaw Spirit in the 2017 OHL draft.
To play at this high level of competition takes sacrifice and determination. I have had a lot of guidance from my father Steve who was a first round NHL pick and enjoyed playing a professional hockey career for 16 years. I made the decision to move away from home at the age of 16 to play at a higher level of hockey as well as change schools. It was very rewarding and I grew so much as a person and a player.
I consider myself a very coachable and competitive player. I am someone my teammates can count on to have a team first mentality, because team success also results in individual success and championships. I will always work my hardest in the classroom and on the ice to give my team the best chance at achieving our goals.
