My name is Noah Robins, and I am a 2006-born goalie. I am driven by a passion for the game and a desire to compete at the highest levels of hockey. Since stepping onto the ice at a young age, I have developed a strong foundation of technical skills, mental toughness, and leadership qualities that I believe will contribute to any team I join.
As a goalie, I thrive under pressure. Being the last line of defense has taught me to remain calm and focused, even in pressure situations. Over the years, I have developed excellent positional play, high-level skating, quick reflexes, above-average puck handling, and the ability to read the game effectively. My commitment to daily improvement, both on and off the ice, ensures that I am constantly refining my skills, whether it's through additional practice sessions, video analysis (i have recorded almost every game for the past 5 years), or maintaining peak physical condition through strength and agility training.
What sets me apart is my work ethic and attitude. I approach every game, practice, and workout with a mindset to give my best effort and support my teammates. In addition to my technical abilities, I pride myself on being coachable and adaptable. I believe that hockey is not just about personal success but about building a strong team culture, where every player pushes the team forward. To back up my work ethic and attitude, at 14 years old in August of 2020, I was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome and was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and another month afterward regaining strength and learning to walk again. I returned to the ice at the beginning of October 2020. While I wasn't 100% I used hockey as a measuring stick to know where I needed to improve my strength and reflexes and I can confidently say I am a better person physically and mentally because of that experience.
My long-term goal is to continue developing my game at the junior or NCAA level, where I know I can contribute to a team’s success while also pursuing academic growth. I believe that the combination of high-level competition and academic rigor will help shape me into a better player and a well-rounded individual.
I am confident that my skill set, dedication, and determination to improve every day will allow me to make a positive impact on any team I am fortunate enough to join. Thank you for considering me as part of your program. I look forward to the opportunity to prove my commitment and abilities both on the ice and in the classroom.
