As both a player and a student I am highly motivated. While I have grown up in an area of the country in which there are not many opportunities for hockey development, my skills have continued to grow and flourish over the years. Growing up, I always played left wing as I am a left-handed player who consistently ended each season with the most assists on the team, however, in the past years I have made a shift to defense. My backwards skating ability, hockey IQ, and stick-handling abilities have helped me to quickly become one of the best defensive players on my team while also quaterbacking forward rushes.
Currently, I am the alternate captain for my team and I lead us out to every game with a speech to hype up the team. This year, I have 12 goals and 10 assists in 15 games.
In school, I maintain a 4.3 GPA and am the Junior class President in my school's student government. I am also a member of several extracurricular clubs including the student government of the Eugene International High School, where I am the Vice President of my campus, National Honor Society, Rotary Interact, and Red Cross Club.
My goal in my hockey career is to play for a DIII school with excellent academics so that I continue playing at a competitive level while also getting the education that I will need later in my career.
